Reaching your audience can seem like a daunting task, but it can be one of the most important steps in moving your career forward. So, here are a few tips in making sure that your work is being published, and your audience is listening.


Doing a podcast is a great way to reach your audience. 36% of Americans are listening to podcasts, which is a huge segment of the population. They don’t have to be long, but keep your podcast rate (how often you are making them) consistent, and focus less on being “salesy” and more on connecting with your audience.


Another way to reach people is having a blog. For people that don’t like to listen to twenty minute podcasts, reading a five minute blog is a great way to catch people’s attention quickly. Make them short and interesting, and don’t forget to have a clear focus for each blog post.

Trade Publications:

Submitting articles to a publication is a great way to bring a new audience to your brand. It allows you to be a guest on a publication that has already built an audience, so make sure to have an article that will catch the audience’s attention.


A book allows for you to go in depth and breadth with whatever topic is most important to you. Your audience has the opportunity to learn a lot about the topic you choose, and will bring a new audience for those that are reading similar books to yours.

These are all great ways to reach your audience. They are waiting to hear from you, so whether you follow one of these paths or want to dabble in all of them, just remember that your audience is listening, so give them something to listen to.
